The government decided: Tradesmen that expose their merchandise along the road's border will pay rent. The merchants that expose their product on the roads’ margins have to pay a monthly tax of almost EUR1 / square meter. Most of them oppose to paying it. The managers of national roads and highways warn about their plan of increasing control measures, considering that more and more pitchmen use the roads as a location for merchandise trade. The merchants say they sell too little to afford this “rent” claimed by the state. They have to get their pass of lay-out, for EUR 105. The booth tax is between 0,61 and 1,61 euro/square meter, monthly, depending on the road’s rank (national, European, highway).
